Vintage Dubl Duck Satinedge straight edge razor, which at mid-century was the world's most popular razor and was billed as "The Best That Money Can Buy." It is still sought after by wet shavers and collectors worldwide. All original condition. Features a 6/8 inch (18 mm) square point, hollow ground, straight edge blade with double shoulders that centers nicely in the transparent molded celluloid scales. Scales decorated with the company logo of two ducks on one end and the script "Satinedge" logo on the front. Tang stamped with "dubl duck Satinedge" on one side and "Pearlduck dubl duck Solingen Germany" on the other. (Note: "Pearlduck" was the company name used in the early 1950s.)
Very good vintage condition. No visible cracks in blade or scales. No visible chips on blade. Some chipping at scale ends and edge. Discoloration on one side of blade. Some oxidation around metal decoration.
